We approach aerial work the way engineering disciplines approach measurement: with a written scope, defensible methodology, and documentation that another professional could pick up and verify. That orientation comes from the audiences we serve — engineers, inspectors, public-safety teams, and design professionals — who need data they can defend, not images they have to caveat.

  • Written scope Every engagement begins with a written scope identifying capture method, deliverables, and accuracy targets.
  • Documented methodology Flight plans, control point coordinates, processing software and versions, and accuracy reports accompany deliverables where applicable.
  • Conservative airmanship We don’t fly outside our authorizations, we don’t fly outside the aircraft’s operating envelope, and we don’t fly weather we can’t safely manage.
  • Honest scoping When a project doesn’t fit what we do well, we say so and refer it elsewhere.
  • FAA Remote Pilot in Command, Part 107 certificated. Current on biennial currency requirements.
  • Insurance $2M general liability coverage; certificate of insurance available on request.
  • Entity SKYiYE Aerial, registered in the United States. W-9 available for vendor onboarding.
  • Data handling Client deliverables are served through our self-hosted portal with authenticated access controls and audited download logs. Raw data is archived for a minimum of 90 days.
  • NDAs We sign standard non-disclosure agreements for sensitive projects without modification fees.

Aerial platforms are one tool. The practice also runs ground-based capture, custom data pipelines, and small-scale automation work that supports the same documentation outcomes: getting reliable, well-organized information in front of the people who need to decide something with it.

  • Ground platforms UGV deployment for confined-space and ground-level documentation where aerial isn’t the right tool.
  • Custom builds Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and MicroPython embedded systems for sensor capture and field instrumentation.
  • Additive manufacturing In-house FDM for custom mounts, payload adapters, and replacement components.
  • Data pipelines Python tooling for processing, automating reports, and integrating capture into client systems.
